CRC Upcoming Hearings

The CRC will be traveling to Pensacola, Cape Coral and St. Petersburg for the final stretch of their public hearings on the 37 active proposals under consideration for the 2018 General Election ballot. At these hearings, the public will be able to fill out a brief form if they wish to speak and devote a maximum of two minutes to the topic(s) they wish to address. They may submit this request at any point during the hearing. This is the public’s last chance to provide direct input on these proposals before they appear on the ballot in November.
C.O.R.E. members are especially interested in the progression of Proposal 13, mandating that all constitutionally prescribed county officers (Sheriff, Tax Collector, Property Appraiser, Supervisor of Elections, and Clerk of Circuit Court) be elected by the voters of that county.
